Respect and attraction comes from how you carry yourself, not so much how much muscle you have. With all that being said, when a man has a decent amount of muscle on his body, he is more confident. He doesn’t have the fear of passing a group of men and having one of them smack his girl on the butt. He knows that women are sexually attracted to men with muscle on a biological level. This means for hundreds of thousands of years, men with muscle were highly attractive to women. This is not a bad thing since if you aren’t blessed with a handsome face, you can compensate with having a fit body.
The average man doesn’t workout properly. He’ll watch a movie like 300, get inspired, dust off his gym membership and workout like a beast for a few weeks. Then he’ll lose steam and go back to the status quo. If you want lasting results, you need consistency. Some might say that a man with a handsome face would get the most women. Well, there are men who are considered not that attractive by some people and they get attractive women. Keep in mind that your self-image is more important than what other people think of you. If you subconsciously believe that you’re attractive, it will show in your attitude and your personality. This makes you more attractive to be around. Women may like you because you’re a good person, but once you start working out and getting your body right, she may desire you and become sexually attracted to you.
To gain muscle, look for exercises that work the major parts of your body (back, shoulders, chest, abs, biceps, triceps, legs, and calves). Find which ones you enjoy the most. Start off using light weights. Practice good form and getting a good workout in. Your initial goal is to aim for consistency and forming good workout habits and not look like a Spartan warrior. As you get stronger, the weight will increase.
The best part about being skinny and working out is you can eat more calories. Go online and see how much you should weigh according to your age and height. Once you find that out, you should find out how many calories you should be eating for your goal body weight.
Let’s say you’re 6 feet tall and you weigh 140 lbs. You have a flat chest long, skinny arms, and bird legs. You check your Body Mass Index and realize you’re on the lower end of the scale. You want to pack on the muscle. So you decide to workout to gain about 20-30 lbs of muscle. So at your height, you want to weigh 170 lbs with 30 of those extra pounds being muscle.
When you workout, don’t workout like a beast. Increase the weight only by 2.5 lbs a week. Within 1 year, you could potentially add 130 lbs extra to your bench press and squat rack. If you reach a point where you can’t progress past a certain weight, workout with that weight until you get strong enough to progress. It’s that simple.
When you are lean and you have muscle on your body, women will notice. Don’t expect them to be aggressive, but you may notice more physical contact from women you just met.
She may find the littlest excuse to touch you, “You’re so funny!” and tap you on your chest after you said a corny joke.
With all this being said, don’t use your body to get women. Packing on the muscle should be more for you. A man with muscle commands respect with his stature alone. A man who expects to get women with his body will be disappointed when women aren’t checking for him. Packing on muscle helps, but your personality is what she has to deal with. Even men who are handsome with fit bodies will struggle if they have a shitty personality.
